Our journey started in 2014 with the realization that temporary cold storage was being serviced by large refrigerated transport trailers, which seemed excessive for storing small amounts of food and beverages. Our idea was to build a portable but smaller unit for cooling or freezing of products that would be a convenient and efficient solution and not take up too much space at locations. Shortly after commencing, and after receiving such positive feedback from our clients, we noticed there was an increasing demand for cold storage at local events and festivals in our region. With an increased demand for our services, we decided to manufacture additional Portable Walk-In Refrigeration Units to increase our fleet and satisfy the growing market. We strengthened our professional relationships with local HVAC technicians, restaurants/caterers, pharmaceutical companies, military and government facilities as well as many other industries. We also started to receive numerous inquiries from industries we would’ve never imagined: concrete companies working on experimental projects for Canadian roadways, florists’ to keep plants and flowers temperature-controlled, kitchens within the hospitality industry doing refrigeration renovations, and many more.
Who are we?
By 2017 the demand for Portable Refrigeration was made evident, not only in Canada but across North America. After spending a great deal of time, effort and research on the current products available in the market, we decided to expand our business to more than just leasing services. That is when NorthPro Equipment Inc. was born. With a renewed focus on the manufacturing of units for customers requiring a longer-term solution or entrepreneurs interested in becoming owner-operators, we were able to create partnerships in various locations, creating a more affordable and accessible option to cold or dry storage units. We can serve clients no matter how remote or climate susceptible of an area you may be located. NorthPro Equipment realizes the importance of manufacturing top-of-the-line products for our end-users and prioritizes client interactions regarding all cold and/or dry storage needs.
